Since 2009 Essen is home to one of the largest shopping centres in Germany. Limbecker Platz offers on 70,000 square metres space for more than 200 shops. Alone its display window is three kilometres long. Daily an average of 60,000 visitors come here to shop, eat and enjoy cultural events. Many different possibilities like a gourmet lounge, concerts, fashion shows, art and cultural events can even be enjoyed on the first Friday of every month until midnight.
