Who does not like following traces of the Romans? Make an excursion to villa Borg and plunge into history 2000 years old.

Villa Borg is an imposingly reconstructed mansion with a functioning bath that gives you a clue of what "wellness" has meant 2000 years ago.  Also the kitchen is originally reconstructed. Surrounded by wonderful garden arrangements you can plunge into the world of the Romans. An archaeological museum with original exhibits will complement your time trip.

A tavern decorated in Roman style enchants you with Roman delicacies after traditional recipes and made of fresh ingredients out of the garden. You can even try a glass of "Mulsum", a Roman spicy wine.

Villa Borg and its extensive gardens can be found in Perl-Borg in the most distant northwest corner of Saarland near the Luxembourgian border. This open air museum can be visited from April to October, from Tuesdays to Sundays between 11.00 - 18.00. From November to March it is open between 11.00 - 16.00. It is closed the whole of December and January though.
